This is my first attempt at a blog so you’ll have to bare with me!
I thought I would share a few of my favourite recipes with you, so my recipe of the month is my favourite easy flapjacks!
This is so quick and easy to make and you can add all sorts to it to make it extra yummy!!
8oz /227g margarine
8oz /227g soft brown sugar
6oz/170g golden syrup
1lb /454g rolled oats
it is as easy as melting margarine, sugar and syrup in a saucepan then mixing in the oats, you can then add things like:-
nuts, cherries, sultanas, coconut, cinnamon, dries apple, even marshmallows!
This makes one average size grease proof baking tray you just spread it out don’t use baking paper as it will stick then pop in the oven 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
I always double it as (uhum!) not all off the mix makes it to the tray and once cooked it never hangs around for very long!
But it is good to know that flapjacks can be frozen!!

Flapjack is one of those recipes where the mixture tastes just as good as the finished product, yummm. I like to make it even worse for you by dipping in chocolate

This is a good recipe to cook with small children, you can use a microwave to melt the marg if you don’t want them using the cooker!
